Bould in for Rice as Wenger's No. 2
FORMER Arsenal defender Steve Bould will become Arsene Wenger's new assistant manager at the north London club after Pat Rice announced he is leaving at the end of the season.
Rice, 63, who made 528 appearances in 14 seasons for Arsenal from 1966, has been working under Wenger since the Frenchman took charge in 1996. Wenger said yesterday that Bould would be replacing Rice after coaching Arsenal's youth players since 2001. Bould made 372 appearances between 1988 and 1999 for Arsenal, winning seven major honors, including the league title three times.
