SUNDERLAND defender Titus Bramble has been arrested on suspicion of sexual assault and drug possession. Police said the 30-year-old player was arrested early yesterday in Cleveland, outside Middlesbrough, and was being held for questioning.
Bramble played in Sunderland's 1-2 loss to Norwich on Monday night. Sunderland said "the club is looking into this matter but due to ongoing police investigations is unable to comment further at this stage." Bramble was arrested over an alleged rape in a Newcastle hotel last year but was released without charge.
