Career change

FORMER top-10 tennis player Paradorn Srichaphan of Thailand will try to make an impression in another sport when he tees it up at this week's Pattaya Open on the ASEAN PGA Tour. The muscular Thai will be making his second appearance in a Tour event after missing the cut in the Esan Open in February. Paradorn, who reached a career-high ninth in the world in 2003 and can boast victories over Andre Agassi and Rafael Nadal at Wimbledon, was forced to give up competitive tennis in 2010 after failing to recover from a serious injury to his right wrist sustained three years earlier in a Superbike accident.
