Carroll moves to West Ham
ANDY Carroll has ended his disappointing spell at Liverpool by signing for fellow English Premier League side West Ham United for a reported club-record fee of 15 million pounds (US$23.5 million).
The 24-year-old became Britain's most expensive player when he joined Liverpool from Newcastle for 35 million pounds in January 2011 but he failed to establish himself at Anfield and was sent out on loan to West Ham last season. The towering England striker has now completed a permanent switch to the east London club on a six-year deal.
