China Open starts today

THE 2016 China Open will be held at the Peninsula Shanghai near the Bund from today until Sunday. Coming into its third year, this year’s event will gather 56 players from 20 countries and regions. The star list features seven of the world’s top-10 ranked male players, including current world No. 1 Mohamed Hossam Elshorbagy of Egypt and defending champion Gregory Gualtier of France. Five of the world’s top-10 ranked female players will also compete in the transparent glass court overlooking the city’s skyline, including world No. 1 Laura Massaro of England, and Egyptian duo Raneem El Weleily and Nouran Gohar.
