China-bound
THE head of college football's Pac-12 Conference believes one of the country's elite teams could be playing a game in China "in the not too distant future." Pac-12 Commissioner Larry Scott said during halftime at the American football's Fiesta Bowl that Stanford and Notre Dame would like to play in China as early as 2013. He added, however, it might be later than that, based on information he gathered during a recent trip to Beijing. Regardless, he said it's only a matter of time before the Pac-12 introduces college football to the world's most populous nation.
