Clipper race in Qingdao

THE Clipper Round the World Yacht Race will come to Qingdao from March 10 to March 20, and a series of sports and cultural activities will be held, officials of local sports bureau said yesterday.
Twelve Clipper yachts are expected to arrive in Qingdao from March 10 to March 13. The Clipper Round the World Yacht Race, held every two years, is the largest amateur yacht race in the world. Starting from London on August 30 last year, the 2015-16 Clipper Race consists of 14 races on eight legs with a total route length of about 40,000 nautical miles.
