AMERICAN Bob Donewald has resigned as the head coach of Shanghai Sharks. Donewald led the Sharks to fourth place in the Chinese Basketball Association's 2009-10 season, following which he was recruited to manage the Chinese national team. Donewald chose not to extend the contract after Sharks failed to make it to the CBA playoffs last season.
