STRUGGLING La Liga club Espanyol have appointed Mexican Javier Aguirre as its new coach after Argentine Mauricio Pochettino was sacked on Monday. "Espanyol and Javier Aguirre have reached an agreement for the Mexican to be the coach of the Catalan club until the end of the season," the club announced on its website.
