Former FIFA head Blatter paid US$3.8m in salary in 2015
World soccer governing body FIFA revealed its president's salary for the first time when it said it paid former head Sepp Blatter 3.8 million U.S. dollars in salary in 2015.
FIFA also said the organization lost 122 million dollars in 2015 to record its first deficit since 2002 mainly because the rising costs of battling corruption scandal.
FIFA's total income in 2015 stands at 1.152 billion dollars and expenses reach 1.274 billion with 61.5 million spent on "legal matters."
"The unprecedented events that occurred in 2015 have impacted upon FIFA's financial results, however the organization’s healthy reserves have allowed it to weather the storm," the Swiss-based federation said in a statement on Thursday.
