French win Triathlon

THE 15th Mountain Hardwear Cup Sanfo Outdoor Triathlon Race finished at Hualian Jinxian Bay Plaza on 25 October with the full support of the Chun’an County government in Zhejiang Province.
This race was organized by the Mountaineering Management Center of Chinese Sports Commission, Chinese Mountaineering Association, Sports Bureau of Zhejiang Province, and Outdoor Fitness Sports Association of Central Government Institutions with the support of Chun’an County People’s Government, Beijing Camping Club Sports and Culture Co, Beijing Sanfo Outdoor Sports Management Co.
The Sports Bureau of Chun’an County, Zuokou Township Government of Qiandao Lake Tourism Commission, and Hangzhou Hualian Jinxian Bay Real Estate Development Co also backed the event.
The participants covered a total distance of 37.4 kilometers which included 1km of swimming, 29km of cycling, and the remaining 7.4km of trail running.
The race attracted more than 200 entries from home and abroad, while another 100 worked to make sure the race was a success.
Athletes from France won both the men’s and women’s version of the race. Guillaume Lecallier finished the race in 1 hour 25 minutes to take the men’s honor, with Germany’s Peter Wolkwicz coming in a close second. Julie Collignon won the women’s edition with a time of 1 hour 56 minutes. The Relay teams BMC 2 and Trek 1 finished first and second in Amateur Experience Relay Group.
