From the stands

A FAN stepped out of the stands to make sure a Scottish Division 1 match was completed on Saturday after the referee was forced out with an injury. The game was held up for 30 minutes when the referee was hurt in a collision with Cowdenbeath boss during the game at Dunfermline. It was then the fan, a qualified official, came forward from among the stands to run the line while a match-day linesman took charge of the game.
