Goalkeeper charged over sectarian taunt
A RANGERS player has been charged by police in connection with making alleged sectarian remarks during a night out.
Goalkeeper Grant Adam, the brother of Liverpool and Scotland midfielder Charlie Adam, is alleged to have committed the offense early on Sunday morning in. Rangers is traditionally supported by the Protestant community in Glasgow and has an intense rivalry with Celtic, which is followed by the Catholic community. Rangers has been fined on a number of occasions for sectarian chanting by fans.
