Guizhou native wins rope skipping challenge in Shanghai

THE 2017 “Who Is the King” Rope Skipping Challenge was held in Yangpu District today.
 
Jointly organized by Shanghai Sports Bureau, Shanghai Rope Skipping Association and Shanghai Yuedong Culture Communication Company, the event attracted near 100 rope jumpers from 19 cities and provinces around the country to compete in a one-minute trial. Zhang Ya from Guizhou Province became the champion skipping rope 310 times in one minute.
 
Zhang, together with some other participants, are taking part in the on-going rope jumping coach and referee training camp in Shanghai. The one-week camp, organized by Shanghai Yuedong Rope Jumping Club, aims at providing more systematic training and professional knowledge to sports teachers and rope jumping followers from around the country.
 
The challenge is also part of the 2017 Shanghai Amateur Games.
