Gul ruled out

A PAKISTAN Cricket Board official says fast bowler Umar Gul has been ruled out of the Champions Trophy with a right knee injury. PCB spokesman Nadeem Sarwar says Australian orthopedic surgeon Alexander David Young told Gul he needs surgery after examining fast bowler and "hopefully Gul will be operated in Melbourne in the first week of May." Sarwar says afterwards Gul will need at least eight to 12 weeks to recover from the injury. The Champions Trophy will be held in England in June.
