Habana snubbed
RECORD try-scorer Bryan Habana has not been awarded a Springboks contract because of his intention to play in France, with South Africa coach Heyneke Meyer against senior players moving overseas. The South African Rugby Union said Habana, who has scored 47 tries in 83 tests, was one of six players who would have been awarded a national contract for 2013 if not for their decisions to play abroad. Flyhalf Morne Steyn, fullback Zane Kirchner, wing JP Pietersen and locks Andries Bekker and Juandre Kruger were also left off yesterday's 15-player list.
