Hangzhou makes bid
HANGZHOU, capital of east China’s Zhejiang Province, has submitted its bid for the 2022 Asian Games, the Chinese Olympic Committee said yesterday.
The Olympic Council of Asia, sports governing body of the region, will decide the host city for the 2022 games in Ashkhabad, Turkmenistan, on September 16. If Hangzhou wins, it will be the third time that the Games will be held in China after Beijing in 1990 and Guangzhou in 2010. Beijing was selected to host the 2022 Winter Olympic Games last month.
