Haye signals end of boxing career
THE British Boxing Board of Control says former WBA heavyweight champion David Haye does not want to renew his license to fight.
The BBBC's general secretary Robert Smith told the BBC yesterday that his organization has received confirmation in an email from Haye, who lost a heavyweight unification bout to Wladimir Klitschko in July. The British fighter had long stated his intention to retire by his 31st birthday, which falls tomorrow. Smith says "according to the email I received he is no longer wishing to renew his license."
