Hend rallies to grab Chiangmai Classic
AUSTRALIAN Scott Hend won the inaugural Chiangmai Golf Classic after he carded a final-round 64 to beat South African Bryce Easton by three strokes at the Alpine Golf Resort in Thailand yesterday.
The 39-year-old Hend started the round six shots off the lead but fired eight birdies and an eagle on the fourth hole against two bogeys for a 20 under total of 268 to capture his third Asian Tour victory after the 2008 Indonesian President Invitational and 2012 Singapore Classic.
