Hveger dies
DANISH swimmer Ragnhild Hveger, who set 44 world records and won silver in the 400 freestyle at the 1936 Olympics in Berlin, has died. She was 90. Hveger is one of four Danes in the Swimming Hall of Fame in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Her career peaked in 1937-43 but her family's membership in the Danish Nazi Party during World War II cast a shadow over her career after the war. After her swimming career ended she turned to coaching.
