IPL TV ratings dip

TELEVISION ratings for the first six games of cricket's Indian Premier League season are 19 per cent down on last year, local media has reported. The Hindustan Times yesterday said that Tam Media Research, the country's top rating agency, has confirmed an initial lack of interest in the fifth season. The fall for this year's IPL, which runs from April 4-May 27, mirrors the decline in crowds last year, blamed on viewer fatigue owing to the World Cup.
