IRAN dominated the first day of the Takhiti Cup freestyle wrestling tournament in Tehran, winning 10 of the 12 medals available, including three golds. Michael Tamillow of the United States and Abdul Amaev of Uzbekistan were the only non-Iranians to medal. They each took bronze in the 96kg category. Tamillow lost to Rasoul Tavakolij, who went on to defeat Komeil Ghasemi for the gold.
