Jeonbuk fan banned for mocking quake
SOUTH Korean club Jeonbuk Motors says it has banned a fan for 10 years for mocking Japan's March earthquake during a match against Cerezo Osaka.
Jeonbuk Motors said on its website that the fan has apologized for putting up a banner describing the quake as something to celebrate during last Tuesday's Asian Champions League quarterfinal match. Jeonbuk said the fan called his behavior "senseless" and said he made the banner in anger over Jeonbuk's earlier loss to the Japanese club. The fan has been banned from Jeonbuk World Cup Stadium for the next 10 years. The South Korean football federation said it received a letter of complaint from its Japanese counterpart following Jeonbuk's 6-1 victory.
