Judge downgraded
THE International Gymnastics Federation has downgraded the status of Chinese gymnastic judge Shao Bin, who was found guilty of fraud at the 2010 Asian Games in Guangzhou. Shao's judging brevet has been downgraded from Category two to four, which rules him out from world class events like the world championships. During the men's artistic gymnastics floor final in November, Chinese difficulty judge Shao altered an execution score prior to posting without notifying either the judge in charge of execution or the superior jury. The modified score allowed Chinese gymnast Zhang Chenglong to move into first from second. Zhang ultimately tied for first with South Korea's Kim Soo-myun.
