Kazakhstan athlete injured in Asia Games, horse put to death
KAZAKHSTAN'S Galina Dolgushina was injured after falling with her horse in the women's modern pentathlon competition at the Asian Games in Guangzhou today.
The 29-year-old, who fell with her horse, was rushed to Guangzhou Army Hospital and the horse was put to death after it was found to have its neck broken.
The race has been suspended.
Four years ago in the Doha Asian Games, South Korean rider Kim Hyung Chil died after a fall on the Cross Country Course.
