TOTTENHAM Hotspur captain Ledley King has been released on bail after being arrested for alleged assault outside a London nightclub in the early hours of yesterday morning, British media reported. "Police on a routine vehicle patrol were flagged down by members of the public outside a nightclub in Soho Street at 2:30am this morning.
A 28-year-old man was arrested and questioned on suspicion of a racially aggravated common assault," a Metropolitan Police spokesman said. "He has since been bailed to appear in a central London police station in mid-July." Tottenham said in a statement: "The club is aware of an incident involving Ledley King in the early hours of Sunday morning. We await details and information."
