Korean dominance

SCHOOLGIRL Kim So-hui won South Korea's first gold medal of the world taekwondo championships yesterday to temporarily banish fears the country's dominance of the martial art was in danger. The 17-year-old Kim beat China's Li Zhaoyi in the women's 46-kilogram division in Gyeongju despite having bandages on her injured ring finger and big toe. The woes of South Korea's men continued when Park Ji-woong fell to Chutchawal Khawlaor of Thailand and settled for silver.
