KLAUS Kroell gave Austria its first downhill win in the men's World Cup this season with a closely-fought victory in Chamonix, France, yesterday. With a time of two minutes 4.22 seconds, Kroell, 31, beat American Bode Miller by the slimmest margin of 0.01 to clinch the fourth World Cup victory of his career. Swiss Didier Cuche was third, 0.04 behind Kroell.
