THE Toronto Maple Leafs fired coach Ron Wilson on Friday as the struggling National Hockey League team slid out of a playoff spot with just one win in 11 games. Leafs General Manager Brian Burke replaced Wilson with a familiar face, bringing in Randy Carlyle, who guided the Mighty Ducks to their first Stanley Cup when the duo was together in Anaheim.
