Li strikes gold

CHINESE golfer Li Jiayun finished with an even-par 288 to grab her first-ever title on the China Ladies Golf Tour yesterday. The 23-year-old had a roller-coaster final round at the China Golf Pro-Am Championship, with three birdies and four bogies at the Beijing Yingtai Hongye Course. But it was enough to hold off compatriots Tian Hong and Huang Ping, who tied for second with a 4-over 292. After the Beijing event, the seventh stop on the calendar, Tian remained the top Chinese player on the overall order of merit, which is led by Thai Porani Chutichai.
