SCOT Stephen Maguire edged Stuart Bingham of England 9-8 to win the Welsh Open in Newport on Sunday after the final had been evenly-poised at 4-4 after the first session. The 31-year-old won a fifth ranking snooker title, but first since the 2008 China Open.
