Mail restrictions to Asian Games area

PEOPLE will be required to show personal ID when sending packages to four cities in Guangdong Province during the forthcoming Asian Games.
Personal ID is required for deliveries to Guangzhou, Foshan, Dongguan and Shanwei, where the Asian Games and the Asian Paralympic Games will be held in November and December, Yangcheng Evening News reported yesterday.
For those who fail to present personal ID post offices or delivery companies should check the packages and make sure they are safe before sending them, said a joint notice from the State Post Bureau, Ministry of State Security, Ministry of Public Security and General Administration of Customs issued last Friday.
The organizing committees of the Asian Games and the Asian Paralympic Games have assigned the Guangdong branch of China Post and China EMS to deliver packages to the Asian Games Village and sports complex.
Other delivery companies are ordered to stop delivering and collecting packages in these places during the games, the notice said.
