MONTREAL Canadiens defenseman Andrei Markov will have knee surgery next week and will miss the rest of the National Hockey League season, the team said on Friday. The 31-year-old two-time All-Star has missed the last nine games after suffering a right knee injury during Montreal's 7-2 win over the Carolina Hurricanes on November 13.
