NOVARA beat 10-man Padova 2-0 in a playoff on Sunday and returned to the Italian Serie A for the first time in 55 years. The opening leg last Thursday in the playoff for the third and final Serie A promotion finished 0-0. Atalanta and Siena were already promoted after finishing first and second in Serie B. Novara is located between Milan and Turin.
