THE Baltimore Orioles clinched their first playoff berth since 1997, extending their winning streak to four by beating the Boston Red Sox 6-3 on Sunday. The New York Yankees also clinched at least a wild card spot after they beat the Toronto Blue Jays 9-6 and the Los Angeles Angels lost 8-7 to the Texas Rangers. The Rangers also clinched at least a wild card berth with the victory.
