Perfect game
PHIL Humber, who underwent elbow surgery seven years ago, threw the first perfect game in Major League Baseball in almost two years in leading the Chicago White Sox to a 4-0 victory over the Seattle Mariners on Saturday.
It was MLB's 21st perfect game and first since Philadelphia's Roy Halladay threw one against the Florida Marlins in May 2010. It was the third in White Sox history, joining Mark Buehrle against Tampa Bay in 2009, and Charles Robertson against Detroit in 1922. The right-hander struck out nine and threw just 96 pitches in his first career complete game.
