Predators stay alive by beating Canucks
JOEL Ward scored two goals less than five minutes apart early in the third period as the Nashville Predators stayed alive against the Vancouver Canucks with a 4-3 win on Saturday in Game 5 of the National Hockey League Western Conference semifinals.
David Legwand also scored twice and Pekka Rinne made 29 saves for the Predators, who still trail 2-3 in the best-of-seven series but will return home for Game 6 tomorrow. Ryan Kesle and Raffi Torres scored and Robert Luongo made 19 saves for the Canucks.
