Queensland takes top spot in Super 15

LUKE Morahan scored two tries and Queensland ran in six overall to beat South Africa's Bulls 39-30 in Super 15 rugby yesterday.

Flyhalf Quade Cooper scored a try and kicked three conversions and a dropped goal for the Reds, while Bjorn Basson scored two tries for the Bulls. The win was Queensland's seventh in eight matches and gave the Reds an eight-point, first-place lead over New South Wales in the Australian conference. In Auckland, Luke McAlister had a hand in three tries and kicked three conversions as the Blues beat the New South Wales Waratahs 31-17.
