Rebensburg title
VIKTORIA Rebensburg of Germany won the final women's World Cup giant slalom of the season in Schladming, Austria, to take the discipline title, while Lindsey Vonn failed to break the 2,000-point record for one season. The American overall champion needed to finish 12th or better to overtake Austrian great Hermann Maier's 12-year-old best mark, but finished only 24th after losing her right pole at the start of the final run. Olympic GS champion Rebensburg finished in 2:27.24 for her fourth win of the season. Anna Fenninger of Austria was 0.64 back in second and Federica Brignone of Italy came 1.24 behind in third.
