Rijkaard named Saudi Arabia coach
SAUDI Arabia has named former Netherlands and Barcelona coach Frank Rijkaard as national team coach, the Asian Football Confederation said.
The ex-Dutch international has signed a three-year deal, the AFC said on its website. Saudi Arabia was set to appoint Brazilian Ricardo Gomes last month but the deal fell through over disagreement on a starting date. Rijkaard, 48, left Turkish club Galatasaray last October.
