Ryder rampage

JESSE Ryder hit 16 sixes in a whirlwind knock of 175, equalling the record for sixes in a first class innings and lifting New Zealand to 467-6 before its four-day cricket tour match against Australia A ended in a draw in Brisbane yesterday. Ryder also hit 11 fours in his aggressive 137-ball innings for New Zealand, which batted throughout the final day as batting practice ahead of the first test match against Australia, starting in Brisbane on Thursday. Ryder's 16 sixes equalled the record for a first class innings shared by Australia's Andrew Symonds and England's Graham Napier.
