School competition

THE 2016 SECA Fencing School League attracted 215 primary and middle school students from Shanghai and Suzhou in Jiangsu Province. Sixty-nine teams vied for titles in foil, sabre and epee in group competitions. Public, private, international and professional sports schools took part in the tournament, which was conducted as per the NCAA rules. “Fencing is a sport that is highly recognized by foreign universities,” said Chen Qi, deputy general manager of SECA Academy. “Our young fencers are trained for NCAA-sanctioned tournaments so that they are ready for international competitions in a new environment.”
