Shanghai to stage WPA 9-Ball event

SHANGHAI will host the new China Open - a 9-Ball WPA (World-Pool Billiard Association) ranking event - in Pudong next month.
It will feature 64 male players bidding for US$150,000 in prize money, and 32 female players competing for US$75,000. This year it will be staged at the Pudong Yuanshen Stadium from June 8-14. World No.1 ranked Souquet Ralf of Germany, "The Black Widow" Jeanette Lee of the US, "The Duchess of Doom" Allison Fisher from England as well as China's Pan Xiaoting have confirmed their participation. Fans can book tickets at www.mypiao.com.
