CHANGNING District is hosting the 2015 Dangtian Cup Shanghai Citizens Dance (Square Dance) Competition from April to June. Square dance is one of the favorite activities around the city, especially for middle-aged women. The competition will be part of the 2015 Shanghai Citizens Art Festival. Shanghai residents, regardless of age or nationality, can register for the competition in groups of 20 to 50 people. The first round of competition will be based on videos provided by competitors. Those selected to the next round will compete against each other at the end of May. Winners will be invited for an exhibition show at Shanghai International Gymnastics Center in June. Application forms can be downloaded at www.cnwhhmw.cn.
