AUSTRALIAN Casey Stoner set the pace at Jerez yesterday ahead of Jorge Lorenzo and Nicky Hayden in the first practice for the Spanish Grand Prix. The Ducati rider, who is looking to improve on a poor start to the season in Qatar, set a quickest lap of one minute 39.731 seconds.
