Sydney triumphs

ENGLISH batsman Michael Lumb struck 82 not out as the unbeaten Sydney Sixers won the Champions League Twenty20 by beating the Lions of South Africa by 10 wickets in the final in Johannesburg on Sunday. Lumb smashed eight boundaries and five sixes in 42 balls at New Wanderers Stadium to steer Sydney to 124-0 in 12.3 overs in reply to the Lions' 121 all out. Jean Symes top-scored for the Lions with 51 from 46 balls.
