AS part of the city government’s plan to get more residents involved in sports and exercise, the inaugural Shanghai Tai Chi Culture Forum was held in Huacao Town in Minhang District yesterday.
The forum was attended by some 400 Tai Chi followers, experts and international competition winners, who shared their understanding of the sport. Huacao Town has made Chinese martial arts its main sports activity since last year. Zhirou Tai Chi Club, which has a history of 90 years, will be the training base for Tai Chi coaches.
