Tomic probed

WIMBLEDON quarterfinalist Bernard Tomic is under investigation by police for allegedly misusing his high performance sports car. Tomic, 19, has a restricted "P-plate" license due to his age, but has an exemption to drive his BMW M3 sports car to and from training and other activities directly related to his tennis. The car's top speed exceeds 250 kph. The Queensland state police said it was investigating "a number of alleged traffic offenses and breaches of the exemption" by Tomic, who claimed he was the victim of a vendetta by a local police officer.
