TURKISH police detained 22 people yesterday, including the president of Trabzonspor, for questioning in a growing probe into alleged match-fixing. Trabzonspor president Sadri Sener was detained a day after a court charged and jailed Fenerbahce president Aziz Yildirim, pending trial. Fenerbahce narrowly beat Trabzonspor for the title this year. Former Turkish Football Federation president Mahmut Ozgener was separately invited by police to testify in the probe.
