WDSF Grand Slam Final to be held in city

THE 2016 WDSF Grand Slam Final (Standard & Latin) will be held at Luwan Sports Center on December 10-11, organizers said yesterday.
The event will feature 12 top ranked pairs as well two pairs of Chinese wildcards — Zhao Peng/Wang Qi and Yan Bangbang/Zhu Jing. The 12 pairs sealed a spot in the finals after clinching points at five grand slams in Finland’s Helsinki, China’s Wuhan and Hong Kong, Germany’s Stuttgart and Spain’s Platja d’Aro.
The grand slam final is jointly presented by World DanceSport Federation, China DanceSport Federation and Shanghai Sports Federation. China DanceSport Super Star Championship will also be held at the same venue during the event. Members for China DanceSport national and Olympic teams will be selected during the event, and represent China in WDSF competitions next year.
